Nick in the early 1970s using an AR88LF and microwave modules convertor to listen on 2m while transmitting with a Storno radio telephone - Callsign was G8JGY.
This system used an ingenious arrangement of concentric galvanised conduits. The inner projected into the shack below and the beam could be rotated by hand from underneath.
Not sure what is happening here but it looks precarious.
